Middle sister and I are both mums and know how hard it can be to go back to work, change careers or become self employed after you've had a baby.
We have both struggled to find a sensible and feasible option for juggling earning enough money, paying childcare and actually seeing the children. Personally, I was made redundant at 25 weeks pregnant and never found my way back in to a 'proper job' instead choosing to go freelance and work around nursery days.
It's an absolute minefield and that is why I want to bring to your attention this fantastic free event organised by Working Mums: They are recruitment specialists connecting mums with employers. I have been signed up to their email newsletter for over a year now and they provide useful and practical information for working mums as well, of course, as some great work opportunities.
The event is FREE to attend on Tuesday 27th March from 10am-4pm at the Business Design Centre, 52 Upper Street, Islington, London N1. You are welcome to take children along with you.
Exhibitors include Coca-Cola, Creation Station,H&M, John Lewis, Hobbs and many more.
There are free seminars throughout the day and spaces are still available so book soon. I have signed up for 'Business Mentoring; How to achieve real success in your business' and 'Setting up your own business- Social Marketing and PR' The full list of seminars with spaces still available is here.
I'm also looking forward to hearing the Keynote speaker Joanna Gosling.
The event is completely free. Register here. Let me know if you're planning to go, you can leave a comment here or find me on Twitter @skinblisterblog if you'd like to meet up for a coffee.
