You know a book's good when it makes you look around at what needs sorting out and then actually get on with it! Inspired by Homespun Style I decided our gallery wall needed a little bit of an update. I've just inherited a lovely blanket so I threw that over the back of the sofa and let the blues in the pattern influence the wall:
The best bit is it didn't cost me a penny as I just switched the frames up with other bits and bobs from around the house.
Things on the wall:
The VW key is the key to my Husband's first car- I found it in a box of stuff one day.
If I spot a newspaper headline with any of our names in I rip it out. Bit of a silly thing to do really but I have quite a fun collection with at least one headline for most people in our family.
Every Father's Day I have taken an ink stamp of George's hand and framed it. I have this lovely picture of his grown-up room having a wall covered in them.
Framing George's paintings fills my heart with joy. His reaction when he spots them hung up is absolutely priceless.
The two square frames on either end have had the glass taken out so I can just tape things to the wall when I feel like it. The frame keeps it from looking too messy though.
I find that I collect things. I don't even mean to but I have about six birdhouses. Where did they all come from?!

this is a amazing idea ! i love the frames around the random things taped up it looks amazing !! i wish i was allowed to hang things on my walls in my flat !!
